    Author Anna Quindlen has been in the news lately, promoting a new book called Lots of Candles, Plenty of recently spoke with NPR's Terry Gross about a wide range of topics she covers in the book, including her recent decision to leave the Catholic Church. She summarized this decision by telling Gross: The pedophilia scandals, the church's reaction to them, and their constant obsession. This site shares spiritual direction through books and booklets based on the writings of the Doctors of the Church, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the sound guidance of a Roman Catholic priest. The intent is to help Catholics come into a deep, intimate relationship with Jesus, become more open to the goodness and mercy of God, better understand Church teachings, and find joy, peace.

Essential work if you want to understand what the Catholic church actually teaches. This book contains the necessary (imho) information for anyone who wants/needs to learn what Catholicism is all actually about.
